After evicting migrants in demolition drive, K'taka govt to now give them houses in B'luru

The Karnataka government announced that it will provide housing to "genuine victims" who lost their homes in a demolition drive in Kogilu Layout, Bengaluru. The illegal houses were demolished on December 20, and most of the occupants were said to be migrants. Subsequently, the BJP accused the Congress, which governs Karnataka, of appeasement politics in view of Kerala Assembly polls.
