After Google, Meta fined $27 mn by Russia for not deleting banned content
A Russian court on Friday fined Facebook's parent company Meta Platforms almost 2 billion rubles ($27.16 million) over the company's repeated failure to delete banned content. The development came soon after Google was fined 7.2 billion rubles ($98 million) for the same reason. The fine, said to be the largest such penalty by Russia, was calculated based on Google's revenue.
