Vietnam plans social media curbs for under-16 users

Vietnam plans to force social media platforms to ban users under 16 from posting, commenting or reacting to content, Reuters reported. Parents or legal guardians would have to register and supervise accounts belonging to children under 16. If adopted, Vietnam would become the third Southeast Asian country after Indonesia and Malaysia to impose major social media restrictions on children.
