After Kolkata, Bengal's Bidhannagar seeks ban on hookah parlours
After the West Bengal government banned hookah bars in Kolkata, the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation Chairman Sabyasachi Dutta has written to the district's police commissionerate seeking a similar ban, citing "health hazards". "We're not going to issue any trade licence to [hookah parlours] and...renew further as [it's] having an abysmal effect on society, especially on the youth," he wrote.
