After men, India's women's doubles pair also make 1st-round exit at Asian Games

India's Kavipriya Selvam and Simran Singhi were knocked out in the opening round of the women's doubles at Asian Games 2026 on Friday. They lost 21-9, 21-5 to Indonesia's world number 10 pair Kusuma Febriana Dwipuji and Meilysa Trias Puspita Sari. Earlier, defending champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty had suffered a first-round exit from the badminton men's doubles event.
