After Putin dinner row, Tharoor attends Rashtrapati Bhavan banquet for South Korean Prez

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor attended the state banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan in honour of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Monday. This comes after Tharoor attended a banquet in honour of Russian President Vladimir Putin in December 2025, which caused friction within Congress. Tharoor had clarified that he went as Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs.
