Agnibaan sorted lifts off, marking India's private space race

After two call offs, Agnikul Cosmos launched its Agnibaan Sub Orbital Technology Demonstrator (SOrTeD-01) from Dhanush, India's first private launch pad located at SDSC SHAR, on May 30, 2024. Agnibaan demonstrated the country's first semi-cryogenic engine-powered rocket launch, and used the first single-piece 3D-printed engine designed and manufactured domestically to power the launch vehicle.
