AGP, BJP form alliance for Lok Sabha polls in Assam

After quitting the BJP-led alliance in Assam two months ago in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) entered into a pre-poll alliance with BJP on Tuesday night to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. "We had a fruitful discussion with Ram Madhav and decided to come together to defeat the Congress,” AGP President Atul Bora said.
