Ahmedabad rolls out AI-driven system to reduce traffic congestion

Traffic administration in Gujarat's Ahmedabad has rolled out an AI-driven adaptive traffic control system at 10 key junctions in the city with an aim to cut delays and ease congestion. The system uses cameras and sensors to monitor traffic density, speed and lane usage, adjusting signal timings in real time. Initial findings suggest traffic congestion has reduced by around 18%.
