AI 'godfathers', leaders warn of 'intelligence explosion'

AI godfathers Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio warned that automating AI R&D could trigger an "intelligence explosion", compressing years of advances into months or less. In a paper co-authored by other AI executives, they said this could threaten human control over AI.
