AI adoption may boost data centres, but not job creation: WEF

The World Economic Forum, in its Chief Economists' Outlook report, said that AI adoption may accelerate globally over the next 12 months, with data centre investment making a significant contribution to global growth. However, the report said this might not translate into a significant share of job creation. Data centre expansion might also face resistance from local communities, it added.
