AI-based tech cleans floating garbage from Yamuna River in 45 days

AI-enabled technologies were used to clear floating garbage across 42-kilometre stretch of Yamuna River in 45 days under river-cleaning initiatives by Jal Shakti Ministry. The technologies used include 'Unmanned Robotic Trash Skimmer', which is indigenously developed to clear floating waste. Drone and AI-based pollution mapping mapped pollution hotspots, classified waste and gauged waste volumes.
