AI chatbot goes live on income tax website to assist taxpayers

Government on Thursday launched the AI-enabled chatbot 'Kar Saathi' to assist taxpayers with new Income Tax Act rules and forms. The initiative aims to make tax filing more accessible, transparent and user-friendly, officials said. "Kar Saathi" will provide round-the-clock assistance to taxpayers through the department's website. "Simpler to navigate…faster to use," the IT department said.
