AI models should be regulated like aeroplanes, says Anthropic CEO

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has warned about the potential threats posed by advanced AI models and called for them to be regulated in a similar manner to aeroplanes. "Frontier AI models, like aeroplanes, should be required to go through technical testing and auditing," he said. Amodei suggested that their release should be blocked if they don't meet high safety standards.
