AI models write less formal & less complex emails for women: Study

Four AI models generated less formal, less complex workplace writing when prompts used language more commonly associated with women like "maybe", "lovely", a Johns Hopkins study found. Language associated with men produced longer, more complex and more formal responses. The study focused on OpenAI's GPT-4, Meta's Llama, Google's Gemini and Mistral's Vibe.
