AI more disruptive as it targets both cognitive & skill-based jobs: CEA Nageswaran

Chief Economic Adviser V Anantha Nageswaran said that AI could prove more disruptive than earlier technological shifts as it can affect both knowledge-intensive professions and skill-based work. "AI can be more disruptive because it is coming for both cognitive and skill-based jobs," he said. He added that the speed and scale of diffusion will determine its real-world impact on employment.
