AI must remain a tool to help judges, not replace them: CJI Kant

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant said artificial intelligence (AI) should be integrated into the judicial system to strengthen its core functions instead of supplanting its decision-making. AI should remain a tool to assist judges rather than replace them, he added. Justice Kant stressed that AI should help manage large amounts of data, detect patterns, and cut down procedural delays.
