AI over-reliance risks 'cognitive surrender' among kids: Ex-Finance Commission chief

NK Singh, Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission of India, warned that excessive dependence on AI could lead to "cognitive surrender" among children. "When children who are supposed to be creative stop thinking creatively...they will have an answer from AI," he said. Singh added that AI should be used as a "force multiplier" for mechanical and routine tasks.
