AI recreates Chemistry's periodic table within hours

Stanford University researchers have developed an artificial intelligence (AI) programme that organised the periodic table of elements within hours. Called 'Atom2Vec', the AI learned to distinguish between atoms after analysing a list of chemical compound names from an online database. It then used the natural language processing to cluster the elements according to their chemical properties.
