AI to now prescribe medicines without a doctor's approval in Utah
US' Utah has approved a pilot programme, allowing Nolla Health's AI to prescribe medicines to patients with mild-to-moderate acne without a doctor's approval. Patients will have to upload photos of their skin and answer questions about their health on an app to get the prescriptions. Multiple doctors criticised the plan, raising concerns over the possibility of AI missing important symptoms.
