AI training and fake streams threaten artist royalties

Generative AI training and streaming fraud are creating new risks for artists and record labels. IFPI chief Victoria Oakley said AI companies should obtain licences and pay rights holders when using copyrighted music, while platforms need stronger safeguards against bots and fake streams.
