AI will replace programmers in 5 years: Stability AI CEO

Stability AI CEO Emad Mostaque told Goldman Sachs that artificial intelligence (AI) would replace programmers in five years. He noted that AI is writing software code successfully to the point where 41% of all new software code on GitHub is now AI-generated. Calling AI a "much bigger disruption than the pandemic", he said the speed of disruption is "terrifying".
