AIIMS Rishikesh removes 35-kg bone tumour in rare surgery

A 27-year-old man from UP had a 35-kg leg tumour removed at AIIMS Rishikesh after suffering for the past six years. The complex June 9 surgery involved orthopaedics, cardiovascular, and plastic surgeons. Dr Mohit Dhingra called it challenging due to abnormal blood supply. Prof Meenu Singh said it reflects AIIMS's expertise in handling rare, advanced cases. The patient is recovering well.
