AI-powered crewless ship faces glitch on sea, returns to UK base

The Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS) which had set sail on a 5,630-kilometre journey from Plymouth in the UK to Massachusetts in the US is returning to the UK after facing a glitch. Project leaders said it had a "minor mechanical issue" which they plan to assess and repair. The 50-foot-long crewless ship's voyage was expected to take three weeks.
