Air France appoints Anne Rigail as its first female CEO

The French unit of Air France-KLM Group on Wednesday named Anne Rigail as its new CEO, making her the first woman to lead the airline. The 49-year-old, who is currently Executive Vice President (Customer) at Air France, will replace acting CEO Benjamin Smith. Her appointment comes as the airline faces trade union unrest and crucial pay negotiations with pilots.
