Air India and Nepal Airlines planes almost collide mid-air, 2 ATCs suspended

Kathmandu-bound Air India and Nepal Airlines planes almost collided mid-air on March 24, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) said. The warning systems alerted pilots and timely action by them prevented disaster, CAAN added. The CAAN has suspended two Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs). Air India plane was coming from Delhi, while the Nepal Airlines plane was coming from Kuala Lumpur.
