Air India has lobbied Indian government officials to halt IndiGo's leasing tie-up with Turkish Airlines, citing business impact and national security concerns, Reuters reported. Air India argued that the tie-up is boosting Turkey's tourism, while hurting India's aviation sector. Under the lease, Turkish Airlines has provided two flights to IndiGo for the New Delhi-and-Mumbai-to-Istanbul routes.
