Air India pays interim relief to 96% of AI171 victims' kin: Report

A year after the AI171 crash, 96% of victims' families have received interim compensation of ₹25 lakh each, while 91% have also been paid the ₹1 crore ex-gratia support announced by the Tata Group, CNBC-TV18 reported. Air India said pending cases involve documentation issues or family disputes. The airline has now started assessing final compensation.
