The Air India pilot who tested positive for marijuana after his Phuket-Delhi flight dropped 300 feet mid-air was on sleep medication prescribed by his family doctor, NDTV reported, citing the airline's internal flight safety report. "During the layover [before the flight], I personally attempted rest; sleep didn't come easily," he said. He claimed roster duties "compressed available daytime rest".
