Air India records ₹26,800 crore loss in FY26, biggest since Tata takeover
Air India reported a loss of $2.8 billion (roughly ₹26,800 crore) for FY26, according to shareholder Singapore Airlines' (SIA) annual report. This is reportedly the airline's biggest annual loss since the Tata Group's acquisition in 2022. The losses come amid industry-wide supply chain constraints, the disruption caused by the West Asia tensions and elevated jet fuel prices.
