Air India seeks ₹14,294 cr from Tata, S'pore Airlines for revival: Report

Air India is seeking $1.5 billion (₹14,294 crore) from owners Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines to fund its revival amid mounting losses, Reuters reported. The proposed funding would rank among the airline's largest shareholder capital requests since Tata Group took control in 2022. It is undergoing a multi-billion-dollar transformation envisioned by outgoing Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran.
