Air India will have to shut down if not privatised: Aviation Minister

Air India will have to cease operations if it's not privatised, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said in Parliament. "Any further financial support in a mature and competitive aviation market wouldn't be the best use of government's scarce financial resources," he added. Puri said the government is committed to securing a deal that is favourable for all 13,629 employees.
