Air India's new policy to make promotions seniority-based: Union

Pilots' unions have claimed that Air India's new staff policy will make pilots' promotions seniority-based rather than merit-based, as unions were earlier told by the airline's management. The promotion is a smokescreen to remove union members from the category of 'workmen', Indian Commercial Pilots' Association's notice to Air India read. The promotion is utterly illegal, the notice added.
