Researchers have found that breathing polluted air may add chemical tags to sperm DNA, silencing genes linked to healthy sperm development. Scientists from the University of Massachusetts analysed semen samples from over 2,000 men and identified 39 DNA changes linked to pollutants. Researchers said that ozone and nitrogen dioxide showed the strongest links.
