AirAsia shares suspended after auditor says future of airline in 'doubt'

Shares of AirAsia fell nearly 18% on Wednesday after being halted following auditor E&Y warning that the future of the airline is in 'significant doubt'. Trading was halted Wednesday until mid-afternoon. AirAsia has posted a first-quarter loss of $188 million, its biggest for the quarter since its 2004 listing, while its current liabilities exceeded its current assets by $600 million.
