Airlines may cancel flights delayed beyond 3 hours: DGCA in new rules amid fog season

Amid several instances of flight delays and cancellations due to dense fog conditions, the DGCA has released guidelines to handle such situations. It said that airlines may cancel flights that are expected to be delayed beyond three hours due to prevailing fog or adverse weather conditions. This is aimed at preventing congestion at airports and minimising passenger inconvenience, DGCA said.
