Airlines raise ticket prices, cut thousands of flights as jet fuel prices soar

Airlines across the world are responding differently to a record rise in jet fuel prices amid the Middle East war. While multiple airlines like Air India, Akasa Air and IndiGo said they'll adopt a distance-based fuel surcharge, Lufthansa and KLM have cancelled a combined total of over 20,000 flights. Meanwhile, multiple airlines have also raised baggage fees.
