Airtel to exit Ghana's telecom market, sell all operations to govt

Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced that it is selling its Ghana joint venture called AirtelTigo to the African country's government. "Government of Ghana will acquire 100% shares of Airtel Ghana (AirtelTigo) along with all customers, assets and agreed liabilities," it said. It added that Airtel is voluntarily taking an impairment charge of ₹184.1 crore.
