Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush has been appointed as the United Nations (UN) Women's Advocate for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in India. Aishwarya, who began her career as a filmmaker with her debut feature film '3', is also known for her philanthropic activities for the underprivileged. "Gender equality is a subject close to my heart," said Aishwarya.
