Aishwarya was 1st Indian actress to be in Cannes fest jury

Actress Aishwarya Rai, who turned 43 on Tuesday, was the first Indian actress to become a part of the jury of the Cannes International Film Festival. The actress attended the prestigious film festival as a jury member for feature films in 2003. She attended the festival for the first time in 2002 and has since become a regular attendee.
