Ajit Pawar wins against nephew Yugendra in Baramati in Maha polls

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar defeated his nephew, Yugendra Pawar of the NCP(SP), by 1,00,899 votes in the Maharashtra assembly polls. Ajit Pawar has held the Baramati seat since 1991 as part of the undivided NCP. He has served as Maharashtra's deputy chief minister five times and held key ministerial positions including finance and water resources.
