Akal Takht directs Sukhbir Badal to clean utensils, shoes at Golden Temple as punishment

Akal Takht has pronounced 'tankhah' (religious punishment) on former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal over "mistakes" made by the SAD-led state government between 2007 and 2017. Badal has been directed to perform as a 'sewadar' and clean utensils and shoes at the Golden Temple. Moreover, the 'Fakhre-e-Qaum' title conferred to Badal's father Parkash Singh Badal has been withdrawn.
