Akali Dal (Amritsar) to back Amritpal Singh in Lok Sabha polls

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) said it'll support Khalistani separatist Amritpal Singh, who has decided to contest Lok Sabha elections from Punjab's Khadoor Sahib as an Independent candidate. The 'Waris Punjab De' chief is presently in jail. SAD (A) chief Simranjit Singh Mann said his party will withdraw its candidate, Harpal Singh Baler, from the seat after Amritpal files his nomination.
