Akasa Air fined ₹10 lakh for denying boarding to passengers

Civil Aviation regulator DGCA has imposed a fine of ₹10 lakh on Akasa Air for denying boarding to seven passengers due to unserviceable seats and not compensating them. The airline was required to pay up to ₹10,000 as it arranged an alternative flight over an hour later than the original. However, the airline failed to compensate the affected passengers.
