Alam Badi Azmi, SP leader & UP’s oldest MLA, dies at 90

Alam Badi Azmi, the oldest member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and a five-time MLA from Nizamabad, passed away aged 90 at his Azamgarh residence on Wednesday. He had been unwell and was recently discharged from a Lucknow hospital. Before entering politics, the 90-year-old Samajwadi Party leader worked as an engineer after earning a diploma in 1956 from Gorakhpur.
