Alappuzha man gets 12 years in jail for assaulting minor

The Haripad Fast Track POCSO Court sentenced Afsal, 42, to 12 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined him ₹40,000 for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Alappuzha. The incident occurred when the child was home alone while her parents were at a hospital. He faces four additional months in jail if he fails to pay the fine.
