Alarmed at reports of migrants being pushed back by Greece: UN

The UN on Monday called reports of migrants being pushed back from entering Greece "horrific incidents". "We're alarmed by...reports coming from Greece's...borders with Turkey, where UNHCR has recorded almost 540...incidents of informal returns by Greece since...2020," a UN official said. The UN's remarks come after 19 migrants froze to death near Turkey's border with Greece earlier this month.
