Alcohol allowed in Guj's GIFT City - Who can consume? Rules?

In a first, the Gujarat government, on Friday lifted the alcohol ban in the GIFT City area of Gandhinagar. A government order from the Narcotics and Excise Department permitted alcohol consumption through 'wine and dine' in hotels in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) City area. Interestingly, hotels, clubs and restaurants will not be allowed to 'sell' bottles to customers.
