Alert for extremely heavy rainfall issued in 5 districts of Kerala

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for five districts of Kerala and predicted extremely heavy rainfall today (Monday). According to the IMD, the affected districts are - Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod. Several other districts, including Ernakulam and Idukki, are under orange alert and are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall today.
