Alerted by Facebook, Assam police averts girl’s suicide

A girl who had posted on Facebook that she was going to commit suicide was saved by Assam Police after the company's US-based headquarters alerted them. The girl had updated her status to "I am gonna to commit suicide today", after which Facebook alerted the police and the child was located. The post was later deleted on police advice.
